UCSI in world’s top 10 for environmental sustainability

KUALA LUMPUR: UCSI University is ranked seventh in the world for environmental sustainability in the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2025.

The latest development confirms UCSI’s position as Malaysia’s top private university in the ESG rankings, placing sixth out of 29 Malaysian universities in the exercise.

UCSI vice-chancellor Prof Emerita Datuk Dr Siti Hamisah Tapsir acknowledged the result and said that environmental, social and governance issues could not be overlooked.

“Everyone has a part to play and I’m glad that our students and staff are at the forefront of our efforts,” she said.

“I’m encouraged that they are empowering refugees, adopting rivers, working with NGOs and launching social entrepreneurships that improve lives for the underprivileged and marginalised.

“We have incorporated ESG elements in research and we will continue working with our stakeholders from the industry and society to champion a more equitable future.”

She added that UCSI would continue driving change through its two Regional Centres of Expertise in Kuala Lumpur and 手机赌博官网_篮球即时比分-游戏平台 - centres entrusted by the United Nations University to spearhead education for sustainable development at the local level.
